Join us for Rez Life: An Indian's Journey Through Reservation Life at Central 11/24
Join a discussion of David Treuer's Rez Life: An Indian's Journey Through Reservation Life, a complex and subtle examination of Native American reservation life, past and present, led by staff from the Milwaukee Public Library. A member of the Ojibwe of northern Minnesota, Treuer grew up on Leech Lake Reservation. In his book he explores crime and poverty, casinos and wealth and the preservation of nature, language and culture.
The discussion will take place in the Richard E. and Lucile Krug Rare Books Room on the second floor of Central Library from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday, November 24, 2014.
